Ajmer Health Department Lights Up Sawan's Second Monday with Grand Sahastradhara, Maha Aarti

The evening commenced with health department officials and employees performing a traditional 'Jalabhishek' and 'Puja-Archana' for Lord Shiva. This ritualistic bathing of the Shivling is a time-honored practice during Sawan, believed to bring immense blessings.

Officials and Community Join Sacred Rituals

Among the prominent figures present were Joint Director Dr. Sampat Singh Jodha and Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Jyotsna Ranga. They, along with numerous other health department personnel, actively participated in the religious proceedings held at the temple premises.

The 'Sahastradhara' saw Lord Shiva being bathed with a thousand streams, symbolizing abundant blessings. Later, the 'Maha Aarti' drew a significant crowd, with staff and area residents filling the temple courtyard.

Chants and Prayers for Well-being Resonate

The air vibrated with fervent chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ during the Maha Aarti. Devotees earnestly prayed to Lord Shiva, seeking happiness, prosperity, and optimal health for all.

Dr. Sampat Singh Jodha, Joint Director of the Health Department Headquarters, expressed his sentiments, stating it was a privilege to have the opportunity to worship Lord Shiva and perform Jalabhishek during the sacred month of Sawan. The entire atmosphere throughout the event was deeply spiritual and filled with devotion.
