The victim, identified as Javed Alli from Niwai, West Bengal, was reportedly confronted by a group of individuals who demanded money. When he refused to comply with their demands, the situation quickly escalated. The assailants then allegedly attacked him with a sharp weapon, inflicting serious injuries.

Desperate to escape, Alli managed to run from the railway station area all the way to Gandhi Bhawan Chowk. However, due to severe blood loss, he collapsed on the road, losing consciousness. Passersby immediately rushed to his aid, alerting the police about the gruesome incident.

Police Swiftly Respond, Victim Hospitalized

Upon receiving the information, local police units arrived at the scene without delay. They promptly arranged for the injured man to be transported to Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Hospital, where he is currently receiving urgent medical attention. During his initial treatment, Alli recounted the terrifying ordeal to the police, confirming that he was attacked after refusing to hand over money to the youths at the railway station.

The attackers, having carried out the assault, fled the scene immediately, leaving behind a trail of blood and panic. The daylight nature of the crime has particularly alarmed residents and commuters in the railway station vicinity.
