Student Leader Shubham Rewar Ends 15-Day Fast After Senior Congress Leaders Intervene in Jaipur

PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Juli, MLA Mukesh Bhakar, and other prominent leaders arrived at the hospital, engaging in discussions with Rewar. They offered him juice, bringing his prolonged fast to an end.

Leaders Express Concern Over Student's Health

During their meeting, the leaders voiced serious concerns over Shubham Rewar's deteriorating health. They emphasized that his well-being is crucial for continuing the fight for student interests, suggesting that other democratic avenues exist for pursuing such causes. Accepting their appeal, Rewar agreed to break his fast.

However, Rewar made it clear that his struggle for the reinstatement of student union elections and the fulfillment of his other demands would continue. He reiterated his commitment to student welfare, indicating that while the hunger strike was over, the broader movement would persist.

This 15-day hunger strike and the accompanying agitation evidently put considerable pressure on the state government.
