Customer Alleges Assault, Threats, Casteist Slurs Against SBI Staff in Ajmer; Police Investigate

Akash Khatri, a resident of Jaria Colony, Ajmer, told police he visited the bank branch with his sister to resolve an issue concerning his account. Khatri claims he had been facing difficulties withdrawing money from his account for approximately seven months, a problem he had reportedly discussed with the bank management previously.

According to Khatri's complaint, the situation escalated when he suggested closing his account. He alleges that the bank manager, along with other staff members, then engaged in abusive behavior and attempted to assault him by trying to hit him with a chair. Khatri states he immediately informed the police about the incident.

The complainant further alleges that after police were notified, the bank employees threatened to file a case against him if any video footage of the incident was shared with the police or media. This added a layer of intimidation to the already tense situation.

Khatri has specifically named Bank Manager Kirti Sharma, Assistant Heeralal Joshi, Loan Assistant Arvind Meena, and Ashi Jain in his complaint, demanding action against them. The Clock Tower police have confirmed receipt of the complaint and have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Authorities have stated that the allegations will be confirmed only after a thorough investigation has been completed.
