Ajmer Shops Burgled: Court Orders FIR in Lakhs-Worth Theft Case

The incident involves the alleged theft of computers, cash, and other valuable items from two rented shops. Manoj Kumar Tilokani, the complainant, has accused Girdharilal, his wife Kavita, son Lokesh, daughter Yogita, and several others of carrying out the theft.

Details Emerge from the Complaint

According to the complaint, Manoj Kumar and his brother Kishore Kumar have been tenants in the Ajay Nagar shops for approximately 32 years. They operate D.K. Enterprises, a business specializing in internet and computer services, from these premises.

The theft reportedly occurred during the night of June 9-10. The accused allegedly broke the locks of the shops and made off with computers, CPUs, wooden counters, aluminum doors, ₹5-6 thousand in cash, and other goods. The stolen items were loaded onto a trolley and taken away.

CCTV Footage and Estimated Loss

Upon reaching their shops the next morning, the brothers discovered the broken locks. Reviewing CCTV footage, they observed four to five individuals actively involved in the theft. The victims estimate their total loss from the incident to be around five lakh rupees.

Victim's Fight for Justice

Despite providing a formal complaint and the crucial CCTV footage to the Ramganj police, the victims claim no action was taken initially. This alleged lack of response compelled the aggrieved brothers to appeal to higher authorities. When that too proved futile, they were left with no option but to seek recourse from the judiciary.

Court Intervenes, Police Register FIR

The court, recognizing the gravity of the matter as a criminal offense, directed the police to investigate the case under Section 175(3) of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Following this judicial directive, the Ramganj police officially registered the case on August 11 and have now commenced their investigation.
