Ajmer Jewelry Shop Robbed of ₹3.5 Lakh in Broad Daylight, Thieves Caught on Video

Owner Discovers Ransacked Shop, Police Investigate

Shop owner Arvind Soni received a call around 4:15 AM informing him of the break-in. Rushing to the scene with his father and brother, they found both outer padlocks broken and discarded in a drain, while the central lock was also severely damaged. Inside, merchandise lay scattered, a clear sign of the ransacking.

What makes this case particularly striking is that the entire episode was captured on video. A resident of the CR Building, whose identity remains undisclosed, recorded the five-minute footage on their mobile phone and shared it with the shop owner. The video distinctly shows two individuals involved in the act.

One suspect stood guard on a motorbike outside, keeping watch, while the other entered the shop. The individual inside quickly filled a bag with over 1.5 kg of silver jewelry and cash from the till before both fled the scene.

Upon receiving the report, police swiftly arrived at the crime scene. Officers meticulously inspected the area, gathering evidence. They are now actively using the video footage and other technical evidence to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for this audacious theft.

This latest incident adds to a troubling trend of rising thefts in Ajmer, raising serious questions about the city's overall security infrastructure and the brazenness of criminals operating with apparent impunity.
