Illegal Bangladeshi Woman Detained in Ajmer Amidst State-Wide Crackdown

The joint team, comprising personnel from Krishna Ganj Police Station and the CID (Special Branch) Zone Ajmer, moved swiftly on intelligence received. The woman is now undergoing intensive questioning.

Operation Led by Senior Officials

The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agrawal. Additional SP City & Headquarters Himanshu Jangid provided overall supervision, with CO North Shivam Joshi guiding the efforts. Station House Officer Arvind Singh Charan led the special team tasked with identifying foreign nationals living illegally within the district.

The team has been actively campaigning to detect such individuals.

Suspect Apprehended Following Tip-Off

On Tuesday, July 14, Krishna Ganj Police Station received specific intelligence about a suspicious woman believed to be a Bangladeshi national. The joint team from Krishna Ganj police and CID (Special Branch) Zone Ajmer acted promptly on this information, leading to the woman's detention.

During initial questioning, the woman identified herself as Mim Akhtar, 28, daughter of Abdul Sattar. She stated her residence as Chandipasha Post Kodalia Thana Pankudia District Kishorganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She confessed to illegally crossing the India-Bangladesh border and admitted arriving in Ajmer on July 14.

Intensive Interrogation Underway

SP Agrawal confirmed that Mim Akhtar is currently facing intense interrogation. Authorities are focusing on uncovering her purpose for entering India, identifying any contacts she might have, and investigating potential networks she could be associated with. Further legal action will be pursued in accordance with established procedures.
