Major Drug Haul: Ajmer Police Intercepts Over 1 Quintal Doda Post, Two Smugglers Caught

Authorities also confiscated an Eeco vehicle bearing registration number RJ 01 CF 6452, believed to have been used for transporting the drugs. The estimated market value of the seized Doda Post is approximately ₹9 lakh.

Two Suspects Apprehended in Late-Night Bust

The operation, carried out under the directives of Dr. Ravi IPS, Inspector General of Police, Ajmer Range, and Harshvardhan Agrawala IPS, District Superintendent of Police, Ajmer, led to the arrest of two alleged smugglers. Senior officials, including Rajesh Kumar Meel, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kekri, and Manoj Kumar Gupta, Circle Officer, Kekri, closely supervised the intricate planning and execution.

A special team was formed for this anti-narcotics drive, led by Police Inspector Surendra Singh of Bhinay Police Station and Shankar Singh Rawat, In-charge of the District Special Team.

Informant Tip Leads to Interception

On August 21, 2026, DST In-charge Shankar Singh Rawat received credible intelligence from an informer. The tip-off indicated that Narayan Gurjar of Nagola village, known for drug dealing, was en route from Bhilwara with a consignment of Doda Post in an Eeco car, vehicle number RJ 01 CF 6452.

Acting swiftly on this reliable information, and following instructions from the District SP, the Ajmer District Special Team activated its intelligence network. They began tracking the suspected vehicle along Sapni Kheda Road in Nagola.

Around 1 AM, the officers spotted the Eeco car, RJ 01 CF 6452. They signaled it to stop and questioned the two occupants. One individual identified himself as Narayan Gurjar, son of the late Chhotu, aged 35, a Gurjar by caste, residing in Nagola within the Bhinay Police Station jurisdiction. The second person was identified as Ratan Bhil, son of Gama Bhil, aged 30, of the Bhil community, residing in Bhilon ka Kheda, Nagola, also under Bhinay Police Station.

Investigation Underway

During a thorough search of the vehicle, police discovered six black sacks filled with Doda Post hidden on the rear seats. The Bhinay Police Station has registered a case, FIR No. 282/2026, under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation into the matter is actively ongoing.
