Ajmer's Ancient Lakshmi Narayan Temple Witnesses Grand 100 Kg Milk Abhishek on Sawan's Final Monday

Hundreds of worshippers, including many women and young girls, gathered at the temple premises. They actively participated in the anointing of the Shivling with milk, offering prayers for prosperity and well-being, reflecting the deep spiritual fervor prevalent during Sawan.

Devotees Partake in Prasad and Upcoming Rituals

Following the elaborate milk anointing, the consecrated milk was distributed among the devotees as 'Prasad' by the temple priest. This tradition allows participants to receive blessings from the sacred offering.

Priest Jagdish Prasad Sharma shared insights into the temple's ongoing Sawan observances. He informed that the spiritual activities would continue, with a special anointing planned for Tuesday using sweet lime (mosambi) juice. Previously, sugarcane juice was also utilized for similar anointing ceremonies, highlighting the diverse offerings made to Lord Shiva.

A Month of Devotion and Varied Offerings

The temple has a series of unique abhishek rituals planned for the remaining days of Sawan. Devotees will have the opportunity to participate in anointings using various fruits and their juices, further enriching their spiritual experience.

Sharma elaborated that Tuesday's ceremony would see devotees offering sweet lime juice to the Shivling, seeking the blessings of Lord Bholenath. The Lakshmi Narayan Temple continues to witness a daily surge of devotees, all eagerly joining in the prayers and anointing ceremonies throughout this holy month.
