The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has strongly objected to a recent revelation by television actress Shilpa Shinde. Shilpa had admitted in a podcast by comedians Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa that she had made false allegations of sexual harassment against the producer of the TV show 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain'. Following this statement, the association has demanded that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis intervene in the matter and take legal action against the actress. Meanwhile, amidst criticism on social media, Shilpa has shared a video to respond to her critics. False Accusations Harm Real Victims The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has expressed deep disappointment over Shilpa Shinde's confession in an official statement. The association states that such actions can have serious consequences. The association said that false accusations of sexual harassment cause irreparable damage to a person's honor, family, children, career, and mental state. This permanently tarnishes that person's image in society. Demand for intervention from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis The association has appealed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a fair and thorough investigation into the entire matter. According to AICWA, if it is proven that someone has deliberately made false accusations, strict action should be taken under the law. The association stated that when someone deliberately files such false cases, it also raises questions about the credibility of genuine victims who come forward hoping for justice. This will make it difficult for genuine victims of harassment in Bollywood and the film industry to speak up. 'Do whatever you want to uproot' Amidst continuous criticism on social media, Shilpa Shinde posted a new video on Instagram to defend herself. She shared a reel with her pictures and videos, which read, "Be a woman, always ready to say, 'Do whatever you want to uproot.'" In its caption, she wrote that those who are jealous should keep burning. In another post, Shilpa said that in life, half the people have been wiped out just by speaking everything clearly. In 2016, serious allegations were made against the makers Shilpa Shinde played the role of Angoori Bhabhi in the TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain in 2015. A year later, Shilpa filed a complaint making several serious allegations against the makers and producer and left the show. Shilpa Shinde recently said during a podcast, "No one knows this. I am not afraid to speak the truth now. I had filed a sexual harassment case against my producer because I had no other option left. I did this to resolve the contract dispute, and later, by reaching a settlement, I got out of that situation." Shilpa further claimed that she herself comes from a law background and the police said that if an FIR is to be filed, then serious allegations must be written.
