Salman Khan reduces his fees for film 'SVC63':Report claims he will charge ₹70 crore instead of ₹120 crore; here's why

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly agreed to a fee of ₹70 crore for SVC63, which is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally. According to the Free Press Journal, Salman typically charges ₹120 crore or more for a film. His reported fee for SVC63 is therefore around 60% of his usual remuneration. The report, citing a source, states that Salman’s longtime friend Rafi Kazi is serving as a mediator for the project and will also be credited as one of the film’s producers. The source claims that Salman agreed to lower his upfront fee because of his friendship with Kazi. However, it remains unclear whether Salman will also receive a share of the film’s profits as part of the deal. Reports of Salman opting for profit-sharing arrangements in his films have surfaced over the years. Notably, Salman is currently shooting for the film 'SVC63'. This action film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is being produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. Nayanthara will share the screen with Salman for the first time in the film. The film will be released on Eid 2027. Salman has reportedly held a stake in several films since 2010 According to the report, Salman Khan has reportedly had a financial stake in most of his films since Dabangg (2010). The film was produced by his brother Arbaaz Khan, while his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri produced Bodyguard (2011). His home production banner, SKF, went on to be associated with several of his subsequent films. Even when working with outside producers, Salman has often reportedly retained a share in the film’s intellectual property rights (IPR) or its OTT and satellite rights. According to the report, the combined value of the OTT and satellite rights for his films since 2010 has been estimated at around ₹120 crore to ₹140 crore. The report further claims that YRF offered Salman more favourable terms than other actors for films such as Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Tiger 3 (2023). Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly an exception to this arrangement. Also worked for friends without fees According to reports, Salman Khan has done cameos and special roles for his friends on several occasions without charging any fee. This includes Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh's film Raja Shivaji. Ajay Devgn had previously stated that he had given Salman a check for his presence in the 'Po Po' song from Son of Sardaar (2012), but Salman returned the check saying, You are friends. I don't take money from friends.
