Preity Zinta did not ignore Aamir Khan:Actress slams claims, says, 'If you increase negativity, don't expect me to stop for pictures'

Preity Zinta has dismissed claims that she ignored Aamir Khan during the promotions of Batwara 1947. Reacting to the post, Preity called it “clickbait content” and clarified that she had not even seen Aamir at the time. A paparazzi account had shared a video from the film's promotional event. In the clip, Preity can be seen stepping out of her vanity van and asking the photographers, “One minute, guys, where do I need to go?” After the photographers gave her directions, Preity walked towards the other side. Aamir was standing near his vanity van at the time, but Preity did not appear to notice him. The video led to speculation that Preity had deliberately ignored Aamir. Sharing the clip, the paparazzi page wrote in the caption, “Oh no, did Preity Zinta ignore Aamir Khan?” Preity later rejected the claim and clarified that the video did not show the complete context. After the video surfaced, social media users began speculating about a possible rift or awkwardness between the two actors. Preity later responded to the post and criticised the way the video had been presented. She called it “clickbait content” and clarified that she had not seen Aamir because she was in a hurry to shoot some scenes before catching a flight for the promotion of Partition 1947. Preity further clarified that she did not appreciate the attempt to create negativity around the incident. She said that if the intention was to promote negativity, people should not expect her to stop and pose for pictures. She also made it clear that she has “a lot of love and respect” for Aamir and felt that the post was unnecessary. Preity Zinta will soon be seen in the upcoming film Bantwara 1947. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Karan Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh. It is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan under Aamir Khan Productions, along with Aparna Purohit. The film is based on the backdrop of the partition of India. The film's story revolves around a family grappling with violence, displacement, and family conflict. 'Bantwara 1947' will be released on August 14, 2026
