Paresh Rawal wanted to keep Akshay away from OMG-2:Makers accuse him of trying to take credit for the film

Ashwin Varde, the producer of the film 'OMG-2', has broken his silence on actor Paresh Rawal's allegations. Ashwin has called Paresh's claims completely false and baseless. Recently, Paresh Rawal had alleged in a podcast that he had written 'Oh My God 2', but was not given credit for it. Retaliating, Ashwin said that Paresh Rawal wanted to make this script under a different name and wanted to keep Akshay Kumar away from this project. Ashwin has put the entire story before everyone. Writer Amit Rai had written the original script for 'OMG-2'. Paresh Rawal wanted to make this script under a different name to completely keep Akshay Kumar away from this project. Ashwin has directly called Paresh's attempt script theft and unethical work, because he wanted to use the format of Akshay Kumar's film without his permission. Other actors in the film industry also refused to work in it precisely because they knew it was Akshay Kumar's film and it would be wrong to make it without his permission. Attempt to keep Akshay Kumar away To prevent this theft and secure the script, Ashwin Varde's company bought its rights from Amit Rai. After this, when Ashwin told Paresh Rawal that ethically, he would first show this script to Akshay Kumar, Paresh insisted that the film should not be made under the name 'OMG'. Despite much persuasion from Akshay Kumar and Ashwin, Paresh Rawal was not ready to work in the film and he separated from the film. Despite this, upon the film's release, Paresh Rawal was given producer credit in the name of his wife and business partner, without any contribution from him, and his full fee was also paid. Ashwin clarified that he did not cheat Paresh, but rather prevented him from doing an unethical act. The film's director also got angry at Paresh OMG-2 director and writer Amit Rai has also completely rejected Paresh Rawal's claims. Amit clarified that everything from the film's story, script, concept, and character design was written by him. This entire work is registered in his name with the Screenwriters Association, and every draft bears the Association's seal. Questioning Paresh Rawal's career, he said that throughout his journey, there isn't a single film that he conceived and gave to someone to make. Amit expressed surprise, asking why Paresh Rawal is making these statements with malicious intent three years after the film's release, especially when he and his partner were clearly given producer credit at the beginning of the film. Further, Paresh Rawal said, 'Amit unknowingly or foolishly wrote OMG 2 on this script. Whereas we had to do an out-of-the-box idea like Oh My God, this was not OMG 2. They took the script from Amit. I told Amit that this is not a franchise. But I cannot fight with you.' Akshay wanted Paresh Rawal to do the film Paresh Rawal revealed that Akshay came to him and asked him to do the film, but he refused. On this, Paresh Rawal said- 'If it were a sequel, I would have definitely done the film, taken a lot of money, and also taken credit for the story. Sadly, I didn't even get credit for the story. I am not a storyteller, but it wasn't even credited that the idea for the story was Paresh's.' Paresh further stated that Akshay Kumar knew he wrote the story. Amit Rai directed OMG 2 After Paresh Rawal withdrew from the film, the film based on his script was directed by Amit Rai. The story credit was also given to Amit Rai. The Censor Board had made several changes to the film.
