Mahabharat actor Sourabh Raaj slams reality shows:Says, 'Chasing TRPs at any cost is shameful, not entertainment'

Actor Sourabh Raaj, who played Lord Krishna in the popular TV show Mahabharat, has strongly criticised the current state of reality shows. He said that the extent to which makers are going to boost TRPs is shameful. His remarks come at a time when reality shows such as Lock Upp 2, Alliance, and Bhojpuri Bawaal are making headlines on OTT platforms. Sharing a note on his official Instagram account, Sourabh Raaj wrote that he was initially advised to stay silent because reality shows were not related to his profession. However, he said he felt it was important to speak up as a human being. According to him, reality shows have now reached a point where they should face their own reality. He added that the race for TRPs has turned entertainment into a display of mental harassment, cruelty and disturbing content, calling it "a disgusting reflection of a sick mindset." He called the situation sad and worrying, adding that he hopes the industry will realise its responsibility before things go too far.
