During this time, in a conversation with PTI, she was asked about the 'Peddy' controversy. To this, she said, "Many times, even directors don't realise that they are objectifying a woman. But if an actor or actress feels this way, they should speak up and protest." She said that artists have every right to set their boundaries. If a scene, costume, or presentation makes them uncomfortable, they can express their opinion on it. According to Kangana, communication and consent are very important in the film industry. Actress Nithya Menen said that the objectification of women is not just a problem of one industry, but is seen in cinema worldwide. She appealed to artists to express their views strongly when needed. Kareena Kapoor Khan also expressed her opinion on this issue. She said that the objectification of women is not necessary to appear attractive or sensitive on screen. An artist can leave a deep impression on the audience even without a provocative presentation.
