Actress Ayesha Khan, who recently appeared in Dhurandhar, has claimed that she was detained by the Mumbai Police despite not taking part in any protest. Sharing a series of videos on her Instagram Stories, Ayesha said she was taken into a police van while she was standing peacefully on the roadside. In one of the clips, she said her hands were trembling following the incident. According to Ayesha, the police had earlier detained her brother and a few of her friends. She said she was simply waiting on the road when officers took her into custody. Mumbai Police has not yet issued an official statement on the incident. In one of the clips, she appeared visibly shaken and said, "My hands are trembling. I was taken into a police van even though I was just standing peacefully on the roadside." She further claimed that she had not participated in any protest or raised slogans. According to Ayesha, her brother and a few friends had already been detained, and she was waiting nearby when the police took her into custody. Questioning the action, she asked why she was detained despite not being part of the protest or creating any disturbance. She further claimed that when she repeatedly asked the officers where she was being taken, she did not receive any response. Students in the van said they could miss their exams In one of the videos shared by Ayesha, several students can also be seen inside the police van. One student claimed he had been detained without any reason and said he was worried about missing his mathematics practical exam. The student said that missing the exam could seriously affect his academic schedule. Sharing the clip, Ayesha questioned the action taken against the students and expressed concern over their detention.
