72nd National Film Awards:'Article 370' wins Best Feature Film; Yami Gautam and Kartik Aaryan among top winners

The film 'Article 370' won the Best Feature Film award for 2024 at the 72nd National Film Awards, announced on Saturday. 'Srikanth' won the award for Best Hindi Film, while Yami Gautam received the Best Actress in a Leading Role award. Mammootty, for 'Bramayugam', and Kartik Aaryan, for 'Chandu Champion', jointly won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award. Yami Gautam wins her first National Award 'Article 370', directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, won the Best Feature Film award. Yami Gautam played the lead role in the film and received the Best Actress award, marking her first National Film Award. According to Sacnilk, the film was made on a budget of around ₹20 crore and earned nearly ₹110 crore worldwide at the box office. Rajkummar Rao's 'Srikanth' named Best Hindi Film 'Srikanth', directed by Tushar Hiranandani, won the Best Hindi Film award. The film stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, with Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in key supporting roles. According to Sacnilk, the film was made on a budget of ₹35 crore and earned around ₹60 crore at the box office. Other winners included 'Raayan' as Best Tamil Film, 'Committee Kurrollu' as Best Telugu Film, 'Lahari' as Best Odia Film, 'Mukkam Post Bombilwadi' as Best Marathi Film, and 'Sunita' as Best Manipuri Film. 'Captain Miller' and 'Meiyazhagan' received Special Mention awards.
