A video of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has gone viral on social media, showing him asking a fan to lower his hand while posing for a picture. The fan appeared visibly embarrassed and quietly stepped away after the brief interaction. The incident reportedly took place at the wedding reception of actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma. As Shatrughan Sinha was leaving the venue, a fan approached him for a photograph. While posing, the fan flashed a victory (V) sign towards the camera. Noticing this, the actor gently lowered the fan's hand and said, "Hand down." He then laughed and added, "He's posing in front of me." The fan immediately moved aside, while the paparazzi continued clicking pictures of the actor. Users criticise Shatrughan Sinha's reaction The video quickly went viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from users. Many felt the actor's response was unnecessarily harsh. One user commented, "This wasn't right, sir. The fan looked genuinely excited to meet you." Another wrote, "Celebrities are where they are because of their fans." A third user said the fan seemed embarrassed after the interaction and felt the moment could have been handled more politely. Not the first such incident at the event This was not the only time Shatrughan Sinha was seen asking someone to lower their hand during the reception. Another video from the same event shows the veteran actor making a similar gesture to a different fan while posing for photographs. Both clips have since been widely shared on social media, sparking fresh debate among fans over the actor's behaviour. Meanwhile, earlier, Shatrughan Sinha had also asked Instagram influencer Faisal Rider to put his hand down. Following this, Faisal's video went quite viral. Faisal had thanked Shatrughan Sinha for this. Later, the fan shared a video reacting to the viral moment and said it had unexpectedly changed his life. Recalling the incident, he said, "The moment Shatrughan Sinha ji said, 'Hands down, hands down,' everything changed for me. I started trending online. I'll always be grateful to him." He also expressed his admiration for the veteran actor, saying that both he and his father have been lifelong fans. "I've been watching his films since childhood, back when DVDs and CDs were popular. I don't have words to thank him. I just pray that Allah blesses him with a long, healthy life and keeps his family happy," he added.
