Rajasthan Police Strikes Big: Three Wanted Drug Traffickers Nabbed in Multi-State Operations

Jaipur: In a significant blow to the illicit drug trade, Rajasthan Police's Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has successfully carried out a major crackdown against drug peddlers. The ANTF launched coordinated operations across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, leading to the apprehension of three wanted criminals, each carrying a reward of ₹25,000, totaling ₹75,000.

These swift actions were conducted under the direct supervision of ANTF ADG Dinesh MN and IG Vikas Kumar.

ANTF IG Vikas Kumar confirmed the success, stating that three major operations were executed across three different states, resulting in these key arrests. The targeted individuals were high-value targets in the narcotics network.

Operation 'M Catbua': The Chemical Supplier

The first major action, dubbed 'Operation M Catbua,' led to the capture of Rahul Singh, who had a ₹25,000 bounty declared by the Bhilwara SP. Singh was apprehended in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, after being on the run for a month.

His involvement dates back to June 16, when police raided an MD drug factory in Bhilwara's Bijolia area, seizing approximately 36.550 kg of MD drugs. Rahul's role in the syndicate was crucial: he was responsible for supplying the chemicals needed to manufacture MD drugs. He leveraged his past experience working at an agricultural medicine shop, disguising chemical purchases under agricultural bills to supply his co-conspirators.

Police had previously raided the MD factory hidden in the Bhilwara forests, but Rahul had managed to evade capture until now.

Operation 'Saumyakul': The Inter-State Transporter

Next up was 'Operation Saumyakul,' which saw the successful arrest of Sohal Khan alias Sahil Khan from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Sohal, also carrying a ₹25,000 reward from the Phalodi SP, had been absconding for two years.

Sohal, who only completed schooling up to the eighth grade, initially ran a buffalo dairy and engaged in farming. However, seeing a relative make big money in smuggling, he too succumbed to the lure of quick wealth. His legitimate businesses weren't fulfilling his desire for a more comfortable life. He then joined his relative, becoming a key figure in transporting narcotics from Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan.

The third significant arrest came through 'Operation Gunshanthar,' with the capture of Thakar Ramanlal from Patan, Gujarat. Ramanlal, who had a ₹25,000 bounty from the Dausa SP, had been on the run for a year.

Ramanlal played a vital role in handling the financial transactions of the drug trade. He was responsible for safely moving illicit funds generated from drug trafficking from one location to another through hawala networks, ensuring the money reached the intended recipients. To avoid arrest, Ramanlal had abandoned his residence in Sanchore and sought refuge at his home in Gujarat, where he was finally apprehended.
