Ajmer Home Burglarized: Cash, Gold, Silver Valuables Stolen in Khanpura
Ajmer witnessed a significant burglary recently as thieves targeted a locked house in the city's Khanpura area, under the Ramganj police station jurisdiction. The culprits made away with a substantial amount of cash and valuable gold and silver ornaments.
The incident took place on the evening of August 28, 2026. The homeowner, Yunus Khan, reported the theft to the Ramganj police on September 1, detailing the events that unfolded.
What Happened on the Night of the Burglary
According to Khan's complaint, he had locked his house around 7:30 PM on August 28 to attend to some work in Dorai. Upon his return at approximately 10:10 PM, he discovered the main entrance lock was broken.
Further inspection inside revealed that the locks of the almirah in the room had also been forced open. A quick check confirmed that several valuable items were missing from the locker.
Valuables Taken
The stolen items, as reported by the victim, include:
- ₹60,000 in cash
- 5 grams of gold tops (earrings)
- A half-tola gold neck locket
- 500 grams of silver, comprising two pairs of anklets, two bangles, and three pairs of toe rings
- A small child's watch
- A mobile charger
Police Investigation Underway
Following the complaint, Ramganj police promptly arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection. A case has been officially registered based on Yunus Khan's statement.
Investigators are now actively reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras, hoping to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The police have launched a full-scale search operation.
