Naand Village Hosts Grand Govindasot Jodha Family Reunion

Naand, a serene village nestled near Pushkar, is currently buzzing with excitement as the Govindasot Jodha family hosts its grand three-day Bhauvasa, Jija Bhanji Baisa Sneha Milan Samaroh. The affectionate gathering, a confluence of family bonds and cultural heritage, kicked off with remarkable grandeur and enthusiasm at the Shri Rajput Sabha Bhawan this past Friday.

This unique event brings together 'Bhauvasa' (sisters), 'Jija' (brothers-in-law), and 'Bhanji Baisa' (nieces) for a historic reunion, fostering introductions and rekindling old relationships. Over 1500 sisters and daughters from the Govindasot Jodha family, hailing from various parts of Rajasthan, have been specially invited to partake in the festivities.

Distinguished Guests Grace the Occasion

The inaugural ceremony saw the esteemed presence of former Rajasthan Government Cabinet Minister, Smt. Shakuntala Rawat, and former MLA Preeti Gajendra Singh Shaktawat as chief guests. Both dignitaries offered words of encouragement and appreciation, boosting the morale of the participating women and girls.

Smt. Shakuntala Rawat lauded the initiative, highlighting how such events play a crucial role in preserving and vitalizing our ancient culture. Echoing her sentiments, Preeti Gajendra Singh Shaktawat remarked that the program has awakened dormant traditions and rituals, sending a significant message of awareness across the community.

Dharmendra Rathore, an organizing committee member and former RTDC chairman, shared that the historic event, which began with such fervor, is set to conclude on August 23rd. The opening day saw all the sisters and daughters embark on a village tour, visiting the revered Nandray Mata Temple and Thakur Ji Temple.

Later, at the Sabha Bhawan, a warm welcome awaited them. The attendees spent time getting to know each other, refreshing old memories, and engaging in childhood games. The evening was a vibrant display of traditional Rajasthani dances and various cultural activities, culminating in a delightful traditional Rajasthani cultural evening that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Embracing Heritage with Pomp and Ceremony

The event site itself is a vibrant tableau of Rajasthani culture, with the rhythmic beats of 'dhol nagade' (drums), spirited 'Kachi Ghodi' dances, and traditional welcoming ceremonies setting a celebratory tone. Committee members present included Birju Singh Rathore, Laxman Singh Fauji, Dayal Singh Rathore, Narendra Singh Jodha, Nahar Singh Patvi, Gajendra Singh Jeldar, Nathu Singh Rathore, and Gyanendra Singh (Haveli). The proceedings were skillfully managed by Bhawani Singh Rathore.

During his address, organizer Dharmendra Rathore encouraged attendees to take a piece of Naand's sacred soil with them, suggesting it be kept in their home temples to invite prosperity and happiness into their families.
