Ajmer-Pushkar Route Sees Traffic Changes for Sawan Pilgrimage

Ajmer: With the holy month of Sawan bringing a significant surge in Kanwar yatris and other pilgrims, the administration has rolled out special traffic arrangements on the Ajmer-Pushkar road. This move aims to ensure the safety of devotees and maintain smooth traffic flow along this busy stretch.

Officials have implemented a temporary restriction on four-wheeler entry into the Pushkar Valley. This specific measure is designed to manage the heavy footfall expected during this auspicious period.

Four-Wheeler Ban: Details and Timings

Under the new setup, four-wheelers will be completely prohibited from entering the Pushkar Valley every week, starting Sunday at 10:00 PM and lasting until Monday at 10:00 PM. During these hours, only vehicles involved in essential and emergency services will be granted access, strictly adhering to regulations.

The administration highlighted that Sawan Mondays typically see a massive influx of Kanwar yatris and other devotees making the journey on foot from Ajmer to Pushkar. This restriction is a proactive step to minimize the risk of accidents and effectively control the large crowds.
