Ajmer North Sees Major Infrastructure Push with ₹7.11 Crore Road Project

Ajmer North is set for a significant upgrade in connectivity and infrastructure as a new road and drainage project, valued at ₹7.11 crore, officially commenced. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani laid the foundation stone for the ambitious project this past Tuesday, connecting Chamunda Tirahe to Varun Sagar Gate.

The event saw a warm welcome for Speaker Devnani, with local villagers showering him with flowers from a JCB, marking the start of a development initiative aimed at easing travel between Ajmer and Pushkar.

Enhancing Connectivity and Public Amenities

Speaking at the inauguration, Speaker Devnani highlighted the project's comprehensive nature. He emphasized that the ₹7.11 crore investment would not only deliver a high-quality road but also include dedicated footpaths for pedestrians and robust drainage systems to manage water flow effectively.

This crucial route, once completed, is expected to significantly broaden and streamline the path to Pushkar, offering considerable relief from traffic congestion for both local residents and the thousands of pilgrims who frequent the area.

Broader Development Vision for Ajmer North

Devnani also touched upon the wider developmental agenda for Ajmer North. He mentioned that approvals for road construction from Varun Sagar to Lucky Chauraha, Kharekri, and Ajaysar are already in place, with the Ajmer Development Authority overseeing these works.

Looking ahead, plans are underway to widen the main road from Telephone Exchange to Chamunda Tirahe to tackle long-standing traffic issues. The Speaker noted that a substantial ₹200 crore is being allocated for road construction and an additional ₹70 crore for robust drainage systems across the North region.

Multi-Sectoral Growth and Future Outlook

The development push extends beyond roads. Devnani detailed plans for a permanent solution to waterlogging, involving a ₹22.60 crore project to connect Anasagar's drains, alongside special proposals for drainage construction worth ₹150 crore.

In education, a girls' Sainik School is being established in Hathi Khera at a cost of ₹20 crore. Furthermore, ₹32 crore has been earmarked for the desilting of Varun Sagar and other water bodies. Healthcare facilities are also seeing a major boost, with ₹240 crore allocated for the rapid development of JLN Hospital.

Devnani reiterated the government's commitment, stating that hundreds of crores are being invested across education, tourism, medicine, IT, employment, spirituality, and foundational infrastructure. He expressed confidence that the pace of development, already significant, would accelerate even further in the coming years.

A large gathering of villagers, public representatives, and officials were present at the event.
