ABVP Ajmer Demonstrates at MDSU Over Student Demands

Ajmer witnessed a significant student protest on Thursday as the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ajmer Metropolitan unit took to the streets at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU). The demonstration aimed to highlight various student issues and press for the resolution of their five-point demands.

Council workers initiated a rally, attempting to submit a memorandum to the university administration. The protest escalated when activists formed a human chain at MD Chowk, causing a temporary blockage and disrupting traffic flow for some time.

Police Intervene as Protesters Block MD Chowk

The situation prompted a swift response from local police. Officers arrived at the scene to manage the crowd and bring the situation under control. Around 25 to 30 ABVP workers were subsequently taken into custody during the demonstration.

Aditya, the ABVP Metropolitan Minister, clarified the group's long-standing grievances. He stated that the council has been advocating for solutions to student problems and these specific five-point demands for a considerable period. The memorandum submitted to the university administration outlined these very issues.
