Salman Khan Films has clarified the ongoing news regarding its upcoming film 'Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace'. The production house issued an official statement saying that the news about the film's CBFC certification process being stalled is completely false and baseless. The statement said that the film has not yet been sent to the Censor Board for certification. Therefore, do not trust such reports. Salman Khan Films has appealed to the media and the public not to spread unconfirmed information. All official updates related to the film will only be shared on their official platforms. Notably, some recent reports stated that the Censor Board has temporarily halted the certification of the film 'Maatrubhumi'. The film 'Maatrubhumi' is based on the military clash that occurred between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley in 2020. Initially, the film was named 'Battle of Galwan'. The film was first scheduled to be released on 17 April, coinciding with Eid, but its release date was later postponed. About Maatrubhumi The production of this film has been done by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, and its director is Apoorva Lakhia. In the film, along with Salman Khan, actresses Chitrangada Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Ankur Bhatia are in lead roles. The music for the film has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The teaser of the film 'Maatrubhumi' was released on 27 December, 2025, on Salman Khan's 60th birthday. In this film, Salman Khan is playing the role of Commanding Officer Colonel Santosh Babu of the 16 Bihar Regiment. Colonel Santosh Babu had led the Indian contingent during the clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley. He was martyred in this clash. Talking about the work front, Salman is currently shooting for the film 'SVC63'. This action film, being directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is being produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. In the film, Nayanthara will share the screen with Salman for the first time. The film will be released on Eid 2027, and its shooting might be completed by August or September 2026.
