Ajmer Head Constable's Honesty Shines: Lost Purse with Jewels and Cash Returned

Ajmer Police have once again demonstrated their commitment to honesty and public service. Head Constable Lakhan Singh, stationed at Clock Tower police station, has earned widespread praise for returning a lost purse to its rightful owner after finding it outside Gate Number 2 of the railway station.

The incident unfolded as Head Constable Lakhan Singh was on his way from home to the Clock Tower police station for duty. He spotted an unattended purse lying near the railway station entrance. Without hesitation, he secured the purse and promptly took it to the police station.

Valuables Intact, Owner Identified Through Documents

Officers waited for a considerable time for the owner to come forward. When no one appeared, police followed standard procedure and searched the purse. Inside, they discovered a significant amount of valuables, including gold and silver jewelry, ₹11,000 in cash, and several important documents.

Crucially, an Aadhaar card found among the documents helped identify the owner as Meenakshi Singh, a railway officer residing in Kundan Nagar. Police immediately contacted her by phone and asked her to come to the station.

Gratitude Expressed as Trust in Police Grows

After confirming her identity, the entire purse, with all its contents untouched, was safely handed over to Meenakshi Singh. Overwhelmed with relief and gratitude, Ms. Singh extended her heartfelt thanks to the Ajmer Police and Head Constable Lakhan Singh for their exemplary honesty.

This act of integrity by the Ajmer Police continues to strengthen public trust and respect for the force, reinforcing the belief that law enforcement stands as a pillar of service and honesty in the community.
