Bold Attempt in Krishnaganj Foiled

Ajmer witnessed a brazen daylight chain snatching attempt this week in the Krishnaganj police station area. A woman, a resident of Janta Colony, was simply walking home when two individuals on an unmarked motorcycle approached her from behind. They tried to snatch the gold chain from her neck before attempting to flee the scene.

The incident quickly escalated as the woman's cries for help drew immediate attention. Locals and a quick-thinking biker sprang into action, giving chase to the fleeing miscreants.

Public Intervention Leads to Capture

The pursuit led through the Vaishali Nagar area. There, the determined public managed to corner and apprehend one of the accused. The second individual, however, seized the opportunity and managed to escape, disappearing from the spot.

An angry crowd wasted no time, giving the caught suspect a severe beating right there. A video of the incident has surfaced, clearly showing people thrashing the accused.

Evidence Suggests Pre-Planning

Upon searching the apprehended individual's bag, authorities found front and rear number plates for a motorcycle, along with a change of clothes. This discovery raises suspicions that the duo had planned to alter their appearance and vehicle details post-crime to evade identification.

Krishnaganj police were promptly informed and arrived at the scene, taking the accused into custody. A case has been registered based on the victim's complaint, and investigations are now underway.

Police Launch Manhunt for Second Suspect

Authorities are actively searching for the फरार (absconding) accomplice and are examining all angles related to the incident. Police teams are also reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas, hoping to gather more clues and identify the second individual involved.
