Jaipur is currently abuzz with news of a significant financial scandal unearthed within its cow shelters. A staggering ₹57.36 crore fraud has come to light, prompting the state government to take immediate and stringent action.

The scam, which reportedly impacted 38 cow shelters, involved a shocking allegation: the manipulation of records to show 1.31 lakh deceased cattle as still alive. This elaborate scheme was allegedly designed to illicitly claim fodder grants, siphoning off substantial public funds meant for animal welfare.

Government Mandates Digital Overhaul

Responding swiftly to the revelations, Gopalan Minister Joraram Kumawat has issued a series of directives aimed at preventing any future malpractices. His instructions underscore a firm commitment to transparency and accountability within the state's cow shelter system.

A primary directive mandates 100% digital tagging for all cattle across these shelters. This ambitious initiative is set to be completed by September 30. Each bovine will be equipped with a special chip and a distinct colored tag, creating an undeniable digital identity.

To support this, a brand-new software system is currently under development. This platform will bring all cow shelter records online, establishing a centralized and transparent database. The move aims to make it virtually impossible for fraudulent claims or data manipulation to occur.

Streamlining Operations and Accountability

Beyond the digital transformation, Minister Kumawat also emphasized the need to accelerate the grant distribution process for legitimate cow shelters. Additionally, instructions have been given to simplify the rules for land allotment, aiming to create a more efficient and supportive environment for genuine welfare organizations.

The government's firm stance signals a clear message: a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, especially when it impacts animal welfare initiatives. This crackdown is expected to bring much-needed reforms and transparency to a crucial sector.

Major Fake Aadhaar Racket Unearthed in Rajasthan

A significant fraudulent operation involving Aadhaar cards has come to light in Rajasthan. Investigators have unearthed a sophisticated racket using stolen software to generate fake Aadhaar cards and manipulate existing ones, raising serious concerns about the integrity of digital identity.

This widespread scam reportedly involves altering personal details on Aadhaar cards for a price. The revelations point towards a well-organized network exploiting vulnerabilities in the system.

The Price of Deception: Age Manipulation for ₹2,000

One alarming aspect of this scam involves illegally altering ages on Aadhaar cards. For a payment of around ₹2,000, individuals could reportedly have their age increased by as much as 11 years.

Such age manipulation could have far-reaching implications, potentially allowing individuals to bypass age restrictions for various government schemes, employment opportunities, or even legal processes.

Beyond Aadhaar: The Fake Death Certificate Game

The scope of this deception extends even further. The investigation also revealed the creation of fake death certificates, primarily to facilitate fraudulent claims for loan waivers.

This particular scheme targets financial institutions and government programs designed to offer relief, undermining their purpose and causing significant monetary losses.

? Did You Know? Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to residents of India, serving as proof of identity and address for various services.

Questions on Document Security and Verification

These revelations cast a long shadow over the integrity of vital identification documents and the systems designed to verify them. The fact that stolen software could be used to manipulate such crucial data highlights a critical security lapse.

Authorities are now facing tough questions about how such a large-scale fraud could operate undetected and what measures will be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future, ensuring the security of personal data and public trust.

Major Crackdown on RGHS Irregularities

Jaipur: The Drug Controller Department in Rajasthan has permanently revoked the licenses of 31 medical stores. This decisive action comes after serious irregularities were uncovered within the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS). Authorities are also actively pursuing recovery of excess payments, temporary suspension of Transaction Management System (TMS) access, de-panelment, and other lawful proceedings.

Principal Secretary for Medical and Health, Gayatri Rathore, confirmed that investigations revealed a disturbing pattern. Several medical stores were found colluding with doctors and beneficiaries, submitting fraudulent claims. This included instances where fake doctor signatures were used, and claims were made for non-payable items instead of actual medicines. Such actions are being treated as grave financial irregularities, leading to strict measures against the involved stores.

Statewide Impact of Cancellations

The cancelled licenses span across multiple districts. Jaipur saw the highest number with 11 stores, followed by Bharatpur with 9. Nagaur and Dholpur each had 2 licenses revoked. One medical store each in Hanumangarh, Bhilwara, Sikar, Jodhpur, and Alwar districts also faced permanent license cancellation.

AI Deployed to Combat Fraud

Rathore also highlighted a significant step forward in monitoring. Daily drug claims under RGHS are now undergoing intense scrutiny at various levels. An Artificial Intelligence (AI) based analysis system is being utilized to identify potential irregularities. This technology automatically flags cases involving artificial price inflation, abnormal MRPs, incorrect pricing, unverified claims, wrong product mapping, and other misleading information, ensuring timely action.

Discount Violations and Inflated Claims

Recent probes have also brought to light severe price irregularities in many drug claims. Medications such as Exemptia 40 mg, Denberi injection, Terifrac (Teriparatide), and Trulicity 1.5 mg were claimed at excessively high rates compared to their market prices. Furthermore, many medical stores failed to provide the mandatory minimum discount as per RGHS rules. While a minimum 40 percent discount was expected, some cases showed as little as 12 percent or even less. Investigations also revealed claims for amounts two to five times the actual purchase price of several medicines.

Further Actions and Future Plans

Harjilal Atal, Chief Executive Officer of the Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency, stated that in light of these irregularities, the TMS access for 10 medical stores has been temporarily suspended. Additionally, show-cause notices have been issued to 13 other medical stores, instructing them to provide explanations as per regulations. The state government is also developing a new action plan to effectively control profiteering and financial irregularities in future drug claims, which is expected to be implemented soon.

FAQ

Q1: What is the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS)?

A1: The Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) is a healthcare initiative by the Rajasthan state government designed to provide medical facilities and financial assistance for treatments to its employees, pensioners, and their dependents.

Q2: How can beneficiaries report suspected irregularities in RGHS claims?

A2: Beneficiaries who suspect irregularities in RGHS claims, such as incorrect billing or fraudulent practices by medical stores, should contact the Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency or the Medical and Health Department through their official channels for investigation.

Rajasthan Gears Up for Local Polls: ULB and Panchayat Elections Scheduled, MCC from August 17

Jaipur's long wait for clarity on local elections is finally over. The Rajasthan High Court has given its nod to the state government's comprehensive plan for both Urban Local Body (ULB) and Panchayat elections, bringing much-anticipated political activity back to the forefront.

The entire electoral process, covering both sets of polls, is set to wrap up by November 15, according to the schedule presented to the High Court.

Two Phases for Urban Local Body Elections

The initial phase will see the Urban Local Body elections take place. These polls are slated for two distinct phases, with the entire process expected to conclude by September 20.

Following the completion of the ULB elections, attention will then shift to the Panchayat elections, which are planned to unfold across four phases.

Model Code of Conduct Expected from August 17

While the state government has laid out its roadmap, the official notification from the State Election Commission (SEC) is still awaited. Once the SEC formally declares the election schedule, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) will immediately come into effect across the entire state, impacting all urban local bodies.

As per the government's submission to the High Court, the election program is anticipated to be declared on August 17. If the SEC proceeds with this timeline, the MCC would be enforced from that very day.

Panchayat Polls and a Fresh MCC Phase

Just three days after the Urban Local Body elections conclude, specifically on September 23, District Election Officers are expected to announce the schedule for the Panchayat elections. This declaration, as informed to the High Court, will trigger a fresh wave of the Model Code of Conduct, specifically for the Panchayat areas.

Pre-Election Transfers Underway

Ahead of the impending Model Code of Conduct for the ULB elections, a significant reshuffle of officials and employees is already in motion. The Election Commission has issued directives for these transfers.

Officials and staff who have served in the same location for the past three years are being moved. Additionally, administrative and police officers directly involved in the election process will be transferred out of their home districts. This transfer exercise must be completed before August 17, when the MCC is expected to take effect.

Rajasthan Minister Kirodi Meena Pushes for REET-2021 Paper Leak Investigation

Jaipur is buzzing with fresh political developments as Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Kirodi Meena has penned a significant letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The core of his communication is a fervent demand for decisive action regarding the infamous REET-2021 paper leak case.

Meena isn't just asking for a general inquiry; he's zeroing in on specific individuals. His letter explicitly calls for questioning several prominent figures from the previous state government.

Key Figures Named in Meena's Letter

The Agriculture Minister has specifically urged that former Education Minister and current State Congress President, Govind Singh Dotasra, be interrogated. This move could potentially intensify the political heat surrounding the long-standing scandal.

Beyond Dotasra, Meena has also suggested that former Minister Subhash Garg and a few other MLAs face questioning. This broadens the scope of the potential investigation significantly.

This initiative by Minister Meena underscores the continued public and political concern over the integrity of recruitment processes in the state. The letter to the Union Home Minister signals a potential escalation in efforts to unearth the full extent of the paper leak controversies.

<media:keywords>Bahrod, Alwar Road, Traffic Jam, PWD</media:keywords>

Bahrod-Alwar Road Grinds to Halt: PWD Under Fire Over Botched Bridge Repair

Commuters on the critical Bahrod-Alwar road are once again caught in severe traffic snarls, raising serious questions about the Public Works Department (PWD)'s handling of bridge repairs over the Sahabi River. The ongoing work, coupled with a glaring lack of alternative arrangements and administrative oversight, has left thousands grappling with immense inconvenience.

The situation escalated late Wednesday night when a truck laden with poles became deeply embedded in the river's mud, bringing traffic to a complete standstill. This incident triggered massive queues of heavy vehicles stretching for miles in both directions, severely impacting bus services and stranding passengers for hours, unable to reach their destinations.

Commuters Face Daily Nightmare

The Bahrod-Alwar route serves as a crucial artery for the region, seeing thousands of vehicles traverse it daily. While the repair work on the Sahabi River bridge is necessary, the PWD's failure to implement adequate traffic management has turned daily commutes into a nightmare. Wednesday's truck incident, which saw the vehicle overturn while attempting to navigate the riverbed, quickly led to a complete blockade.

The ripple effect was immediate, with a long line of trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles forming rapidly. Public transport, including state-run and private buses, bore the brunt of the disruption. Many buses found themselves stuck mid-route, forcing passengers to endure agonizing waits. Students heading to schools and colleges, office-goers, and other travelers were significantly delayed, with some resorting to walking long distances or seeking out alternative, often circuitous, routes.

Public Outcry Over Repeated Lapses

This isn't the first time commuters have faced such a predicament. Manoj Kumar, a regular traveler, pointed out that the road was closed for bridge repairs just two months ago, causing similar widespread problems. "Even now, with repair work restarted, there's no solid traffic plan or effective alternative route in place," Kumar lamented. Locals accuse the department of merely going through the motions, completely disregarding public convenience.

The traffic remained paralyzed for several hours after the truck got stuck. Residents argue that a timely intervention by police and administration to manage traffic could have prevented such a massive bottleneck. Frustration is palpable among those stuck in the jam, with many expressing anger towards both the administration and the PWD.

Vehicle operator Shyam Sundar Singh highlighted the Bahrod-Alwar road's vital role for industrial and commercial activities. "A large number of goods vehicles use this route daily. Constant jams are not only disrupting trade but also causing significant time and financial losses for drivers," Singh stated, underscoring the economic impact of the persistent issues.

Jaipur Police Unravel Uber Driver Murder Case in Record Time

Jaipur, the capital city, witnessed a swift police action as authorities in the Harmada police station area cracked the case of an Uber driver's murder within 24 hours. The victim, identified as Lakhpat Singh from Dholpur, was found dead near Chetan Dungri in a secluded forest area. Two individuals who booked a ride with him are now in police custody, accused of murder and carjacking.

Investigators quickly identified the deceased and, through technical analysis, tracked down and arrested the two suspects. Preliminary questioning revealed their motive: to steal the car to settle debts and raise funds for opening a cafe. A notable aspect of the investigation was the police's innovative use of Artificial Intelligence to identify the victim.

AI Tool Crucial in Identifying Victim

Jaipur (West) DCP Prashant Kiran shared details of the investigation, stating that on July 22, a young man's body was discovered in a desolate jungle near Chetan Dungri in the Harmada area. No identification was found at the scene, and the body, being a day old, made identification challenging.

Police utilized an AI tool to generate a clearer photograph of the deceased, which was then circulated on social media. This led to the identification of the victim as Lakhpat Singh, a resident of Kilolpura village in Dholpur, who resided in Kishanbagh, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, and worked as an Uber cab driver.

Suspects Apprehended, Confess to Crime

Leveraging details from Uber's ride booking data, police detained Sudhanshu Jangid, a resident of Murlipura (Jaipur), and Sonu Bairwa, originally from Bandikui and currently residing in Murlipura (Jaipur). Both suspects have confessed to committing the murder and carjacking.

Police are now working to recover the weapons and other items used in the crime. Both accused have been taken into remand for further interrogation.

The Horrific Details of the Attack

Officials revealed that Sudhanshu Jangid had completed his first year of graduation, while Sonu Bairwa had studied up to the tenth standard. The duo booked Lakhpat Singh's car from near VKI Sector 14 and directed him towards Rajawas Toll. Under the pretext of picking up a friend for alcohol, they had the driver stop in a secluded area.

There, one of the accused strangled Lakhpat Singh from behind with a rope, while the other attacked him with a sharp weapon (gupti), killing him instantly. They then dumped his body in the jungle before fleeing with the car.

Pre-Planned Plot for Debt and Cafe Dream

During interrogation, the accused admitted to meticulously planning the carjacking for several days, motivated by their desire to clear debts and accumulate capital for a cafe. Police found multiple videos on their mobile phones, suggesting they had researched methods to carry out the murder.

The rope used in the crime was reportedly ordered via an online app, and the sharp weapon was purchased from Vidhyadhar Nagar. They had also acquired chili powder and other items to execute their plan. After the crime, they headed towards Dausa and had already sent photos of the stolen car to potential buyers.

Pilot Visits Dausa, Offers Condolences

Dausa witnessed a significant political visit this Wednesday as former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot arrived in the district. Pilot's first stop was Meena Simla village, where he paid his respects to the late former Sarpanch, Sampatram Meena, at his residence. He met with the bereaved family, offering his condolences and support during their time of grief. A large number of Congress workers and local residents were present to greet him.

Centre Under Fire Over Recent Incidents

Following his visit to the grieving family, Sachin Pilot addressed the media, launching a scathing attack on the central government regarding recent national events. He asserted that the government's approach goes against democratic values, jeopardizing the future of millions of young people. Pilot accused the government of pursuing politics driven by arrogance and suppression, which he described as unfortunate for the nation's democracy.

Rahul Gandhi, MPs Detained During Protest

Pilot highlighted the detention of Rahul Gandhi and other opposition MPs from both houses of Parliament just a day prior. He explained that these leaders were participating in a peaceful protest near the Prime Minister's residence at Lok Kalyan Marg. The demonstration aimed to raise critical issues concerning the education system and demand the resignation of the Union Education Minister. Pilot emphasized that these leaders were not anti-social elements or terrorists but were exercising their democratic right to voice concerns.

? Did You Know? Dausa, where Sachin Pilot was visiting, holds historical significance as it was once the first capital of the ancient Dhundhar kingdom in Rajasthan.

He called for the immediate withdrawal of cases filed against students. Pilot pointed out that many students were hospitalized with injuries, some suffering broken limbs and others in serious condition. He alleged that police used brutal lathi-charges and tear gas on the students, which he deemed entirely unjustified. Pilot made it clear that the Congress and the opposition would not back down from their demands until the Union Education Minister resigns.

Government Accused of Suppressing Youth Voices

The Congress leader also spoke about the recurring paper leaks and irregularities in recruitment exams, stating these incidents have eroded youth confidence in the system. He criticized the government for attempting to suppress the voices of young people instead of addressing their problems. Pilot further alleged that opposition leaders were dragged by the police, an act he described as against democratic traditions and unprecedented.

PM's Silence Questioned

Sachin Pilot did not spare Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning his silence on such significant developments. He reminded that the Prime Minister belongs to the entire nation, not just one political party. Pilot urged the PM to take a clear stance on youth concerns and issues related to the education system, stressing the importance of maintaining youth faith in democratic processes. He warned that a loss of trust among young people in the system would pose a severe crisis for the country.

Pilot concluded by accusing the government of diverting attention from real issues like employment, education, and transparent recruitment processes by promoting religious and communal topics. Throughout his visit, Bala Ji Police Station in-charge Sachin Sharma and a police contingent ensured security, alongside numerous senior Congress leaders, office bearers, and a large number of party workers.

Monsoon Gains Pace, Eyes on Bisalpur Dam

After a somewhat sluggish start, the monsoon has picked up pace across Rajasthan. Several districts reported good rainfall on Monday and Tuesday, bringing a much-needed respite. Crucially, the catchment area of the Bisalpur Dam, often called Jaipur's lifeline, is also experiencing rainfall. This development has both the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and the Water Resources Department cautiously optimistic about a rise in the dam's water level.

However, amidst this renewed hope, a significant concern looms. Jaipur City's Chief Engineer for PHED, Ajay Singh Rathore, recently highlighted that the Bisalpur Dam currently holds sufficient water only until July of next year. He warned that if the monsoon doesn't deliver adequate rainfall, leading to insufficient water inflow into the dam, the city might face water supply cuts in the future.

Rising Demand Meets Uncertain Supply

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Chief Engineer Rathore elaborated on the city's growing water demands. "Jaipur, the capital city, alone accounts for 6 lakh water connections, all directly supplied by the Bisalpur Dam," he stated. The number of connections is steadily increasing, with projections suggesting it could reach around 6.5 lakh by December. Currently, Jaipur city draws 630 MLD (Million Liters per Day) of water from the Bisalpur Dam.

? Did You Know? The Bisalpur Dam, built on the Banas River, is not only a crucial source of drinking water for Jaipur but also provides irrigation water to parts of Rajasthan.

Rathore acknowledged the monsoon's initial weak phase but emphasized that about a month and a half of the monsoon season still remains. "We are hopeful for a good monsoon, and if the Bisalpur Dam's catchment area receives substantial rainfall, the dam's water level will surely increase," he added. If the dam reaches a level of 313 or 314 RL (Reduced Level) due to good rains, Jaipur city could potentially receive water supply until July 2028. Conversely, a weaker monsoon could force the department to consider water supply cuts as early as November to January of this year.

Bridging Gaps with Tanker Services

Addressing immediate needs, Chief Engineer Ajay Singh Rathore confirmed that water is being supplied via tankers to the outer areas of Jaipur where household water connections are yet to be established. He also mentioned that in areas where water tanks are ready, the department is preparing to commence piped water supply soon.

Alwar Central Jail is once again in the headlines after a significant discovery of prohibited items within its premises. The incident came to light during a routine inspection, causing a stir among jail authorities.

Jail personnel spotted a suspicious white bag hanging from an electric wire near the prison wall. Upon investigation, it was found to contain a variety of items banned inside the correctional facility.

Discovery During Routine Patrol

Kotwali Station House Officer Dinesh Meena confirmed that a complaint was filed by Chief Warden Amarchand Sharma. Sharma reported that while on patrol around 2:30 PM, he noticed a white bag dangling from the electric wires running close to the jail wall.

He immediately alerted the jail administration. Following this, the jail superintendent and other wardens arrived at the scene. They used a ladder to retrieve the bag for further examination.

?
What Was Inside the Bag?

The contents of the bag raised immediate suspicion. Upon opening it, authorities uncovered a cache of forbidden goods:

14 pouches of tobacco

14 bundles of beedis

5 mobile phones

Police Launch Investigation

Following the recovery, the seized prohibited items were meticulously sealed in a cloth bag. The jail administration then lodged a formal complaint at the Kotwali police station.

SHO Dinesh Meena stated that the police have registered a case based on the complaint regarding the discovery of restricted items. ASI Ramniwas has been assigned to investigate the matter, and inquiries are currently underway to trace the origin of these items and identify those responsible for attempting to smuggle them into the jail.

<media:keywords>Hanuman Beniwal, Nagaur Police, Security Lapse, Rajasthan Politics</media:keywords>

RLP Chief Hanuman Beniwal Removes Security, Cites 'Conspiracy' Over Ill Police Deployment

Nagaur MP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) supremo Hanuman Beniwal announced on Saturday that he has removed the police personnel assigned to his security detail. Beniwal claims that officials managing police affairs in Nagaur are consistently deploying officers suffering from serious illnesses for his protection.

He alleges this not only compromises his security but also represents a deliberate attempt to damage his public image. Beniwal has formally written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, urging their intervention in the matter.

Beniwal's Allegations: A Deeper Look

In his letter to the Chief Minister and Home Minister, Beniwal has leveled serious accusations against the Nagaur police administration. He stated this isn't just about his personal safety, but a grave issue concerning democratic values and the security of public representatives.

Beniwal claims that officials overseeing police operations and responsible personnel at the Reserve Police Line in Nagaur, a district currently without a Police Superintendent (SP), are intentionally assigning seriously ill police officers to his security. He suspects a larger conspiracy behind this, aiming to hold him responsible for any untoward incident or health deterioration of a police officer, thereby tarnishing his public image.

Specific Incidents Highlighted

Beniwal's letter details three recent and concerning incidents. On July 11, Constable Sunil Bishnoi, who was part of his security and suffered from a severe neurological condition, suddenly fell ill in Jaipur. Beniwal personally took him to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital late at night.

Just days later, on July 15, Constable Balbir Gurjar's health deteriorated while returning from Jaipur. He was referred from Nagaur to AIIMS Jodhpur, where doctors suspected he was suffering from a pre-existing heart condition. Beniwal also noted that a third constable, Sitaram, assigned to his security on Saturday, was also visibly unwell.

"I do not wish to put any sick police personnel's health at risk," Beniwal stated, explaining his decision to immediately send the assigned personnel back to the Reserve Police Line.

? Did You Know? In India, the security provided to VIPs like MPs is typically determined by intelligence agencies based on threat perceptions, ranging from X to Z+ categories, involving varying numbers of police and commando personnel.

Questions Over Withdrawn Security

The MP has also raised sharp questions regarding a reduction in his security detail. His letter mentions that based on prior security-related intelligence inputs from the Rajasthan Police's Intelligence wing, he was previously provided with a police escort and armed commandos. However, this additional security was abruptly withdrawn without any prior notice or explanation.

Beniwal questioned the government: "If there were serious threat inputs concerning my security at that time, what is the current status of those inputs? Will the government provide me with official information on this, or is my security being deliberately neglected?"

Allegations of Political Influence and Demand for Probe

Beniwal asserts that he had informed the Director General of Police (DGP) and Additional Director General (ADG - Intelligence) of Rajasthan Police about the entire situation and the negligence in his security via phone. Despite this, no corrective measures were taken at the district level.

He claims that certain police officers stationed in Nagaur are operating under political influence rather than fulfilling their impartial administrative duties, thereby compromising his security. Beniwal has urged both the central and state governments to conduct an impartial investigation into the entire matter, take strict action against the responsible officers, and review his security arrangements afresh.

Major Relief for India's Solar Sector as DCR Mandate Eased

Jaipur/New Delhi: In a significant move set to energize India's renewable energy landscape, the Central government has provided a crucial six-month reprieve for the solar sector. The mandate for Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) modules has been temporarily withdrawn, a decision widely welcomed by both consumers and companies.

This means that until December 31, 2026, net metering and open access solar projects can proceed with commissioning even if they use non-DCR modules. The move is expected to unlock thousands of rooftop and commercial solar installations that have been stuck in limbo.

Prices Set to Drop as Supply Constraints Ease

The DCR module shortage had caused significant price hikes in recent months. A typical 3-kilowatt domestic solar system, for instance, saw its cost increase by approximately ₹35,000 to ₹40,000. With this new relief, industry experts anticipate a cost reduction of around ₹12,000 per kilowatt.

This direct benefit will extend to beneficiaries of the ambitious Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana, making solar energy more accessible and affordable for households nationwide. Solar companies, which had struggled with supply chain issues and escalating costs, will also see immediate advantages.

? Did You Know? India's installed solar capacity has grown exponentially, reaching over 70 GW by early 2024, demonstrating the nation's commitment to clean energy and its vast potential.

Across the country, including states like Rajasthan, countless projects were stalled due to the limited availability of DCR modules. The industry has lauded the government's decision as immediate and necessary relief, though many are also calling for more permanent and practical long-term solutions to ensure sustained growth.

Rajasthan Paper Leaks: Rajendra Rathore Points to Coaching 'Guaranteed Batches'

Jaipur, Rajasthan — The persistent issue of paper leaks in Rajasthan's competitive examinations has once again drawn sharp criticism, with BJP leader Rajendra Rathore placing the blame squarely on coaching institutes. He specifically called out those offering "guaranteed selection" batches, suggesting they are a major contributor to the widespread fraud.

Rathore, speaking to reporters, highlighted how these 'guaranteed' programs often foster a culture where illicit means might be explored to ensure student success. This, he argued, directly undermines the integrity of the examination system and the aspirations of honest candidates.

NCRB Data Paints a Concerning Picture

Adding weight to his accusations, Rathore cited alarming data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). He revealed that Rajasthan currently ranks third across the nation in the number of paper leak cases.

This statistic is a stark reminder of the depth of the problem. It not only erodes public trust in government recruitment processes but also casts a shadow over the credibility of educational institutions in the state.

Call for Stronger Action

The BJP leader didn't stop at just identifying the problem. He also criticized the previous Congress government's handling of the issue, suggesting their measures were insufficient to tackle the deep-rooted corruption.

Rathore stressed the urgent need for the current administration to implement robust legislation and stricter enforcement mechanisms. The goal, he stated, is to safeguard the future of thousands of young aspirants who dedicate years to preparing for these crucial exams.

The ongoing struggle against paper leaks remains a significant challenge for Rajasthan. Ensuring a level playing field and transparent examination processes is paramount for the state's youth and its future.

Expanding Choices for Students and Parents

The introduction of a dual-medium system directly addresses the diverse linguistic needs across Rajasthan. Families now have the flexibility to enroll their children in schools that offer both English and Hindi streams, ensuring education is more accessible and culturally relevant.

This expansion is expected to alleviate the pressure on students who may struggle with English as their primary language of instruction, enabling them to grasp concepts more effectively in their mother tongue while still having the option for English proficiency.

Impact on Rajasthan's Educational Landscape

Officials believe this policy will not only boost enrollment in these government schools but also foster a more inclusive learning environment. It underscores the state's progressive approach to education, balancing global language proficiency with the importance of regional languages.

The move is anticipated to be well-received, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas where English-medium schools might be less prevalent or less preferred by the local populace. It's a pragmatic step towards ensuring no student is left behind due to language barriers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the primary change in Rajasthan's Mahatma Gandhi Schools?

Jaipur Steps Up Traffic Management with New Public Address System

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has taken a significant stride towards making the capital's traffic management system even smarter. An Internet Protocol (IP) based Public Address System is currently being installed at 24 prominent locations across the city. This cutting-edge system is designed to deliver real-time information to citizens regarding traffic jams, route diversions, emergency situations, and other crucial updates.

The entire operation will be centrally managed from the Abhay Command and Control Center. This move aligns with the JDA's vision for smart urban development, focusing on high-tech traffic infrastructure.

First Phase Kicks Off at Eight Key Locations

In its initial phase, the system went live on Wednesday at eight key locations. These include:

Trimurti Circle

Rambagh Chauraha

Jagatpura 7 Number Bus Stand

Sophia School Ghatgate

Shri Pinjrapol Gaushala

Jawahar Circle (JLN Marg)

In front of SMS Medical College

Nagar Nigam complex

JDA Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan confirmed that the remaining 16 locations would have the facility operational very soon. The selection of these sites was a collaborative effort, made in coordination with the Jaipur Municipal Corporation and the traffic police, ensuring effective information dissemination in crowded and sensitive areas.

Beyond Traffic: A Broader Information Hub

Commissioner Mahajan highlighted that this system isn't just about traffic updates. It will also serve as a vital channel for broadcasting messages related to road safety, disaster management, environmental protection, cleanliness campaigns, public welfare schemes, and general public awareness initiatives. This expansion of purpose underscores the system's potential to enhance civic services comprehensively.

The JDA anticipates that this modern, technology-driven arrangement will significantly boost the speed and reliability of information broadcasting. By leveraging the digital infrastructure of the Smart City, this initiative aims to strengthen citizen services, provide swift emergency information, and make traffic management more effective, ultimately leading to better urban living experiences.

CJP Founder Abhijit Dipke Heads to Sikar Amidst NEET Row

Sikar is bracing for a significant protest as Abhijit Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), is scheduled to arrive in the city on July 17. His visit centers around the ongoing concerns regarding the education system, pressing youth issues, and the controversial NEET paper leak incident.

Dipke plans to lead a demonstration rally through the city, aiming to amplify student voices. Party workers recently held a press conference, sharing full details of the upcoming events with the media.

Nationwide Protests by CJP

CJP worker Mukesh Allrounder revealed that the Cockroach Janata Party has been actively protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar since June 6. Similar movements have also been organized in cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Pune, Hyderabad, and Jaipur.

The party strongly alleges that both the Central Government and the Ministry of Education have failed to take effective action in the NEET paper leak case. This inaction, they claim, has jeopardized the future of millions of students across the country.

A Movement for Youth Futures

Mukesh emphasized the emotional toll on students. He noted that aspirants dedicate immense effort and hope to reach examination centers, only to have their morale shattered by news of paper leaks. The CJP maintains that this isn't merely a paper leak issue but a serious compromise with the future of India's youth, driving their continuous agitation.

Engaging with Students in Sikar

Highlighting broader educational concerns, Mukesh Allrounder also mentioned social activist and scientist Sonam Wangchuk's 18-day hunger strike over education and public welfare issues, whose demands, he stated, have gone unheeded by the government.

Sikar, known nationwide as an 'education hub,' has seen its reputation somewhat tarnished by the NEET paper leak controversy. Dipke's visit aims to engage directly with students here, strengthening the ongoing movement in their support.

Planned Protest March and Parliament Gherao

According to CJP workers, Abhijit Dipke will lead a protest march on July 17. The march is set to begin from Jyotiba Phule Circle (Piprali Circle) and proceed to CLC Chowk.

A large number of students and young people are expected to participate, demanding greater transparency in the education system, strict action against paper leaks, and comprehensive reforms in the examination process. The party has also announced plans for a 'Parliament Gherao' in Delhi on July 20.

<media:keywords>Jaipur Police, Traffic Rules, Vehicle Modification, Road Safety</media:keywords>

Jaipur Police Rolls Out Tough Stance Against Vehicle Modifications

Jaipur witnessed a powerful display of law enforcement on Saturday as the city's police force took a definitive stand against vehicle rule violators. In a move designed to send a clear message, authorities used a road roller to crush dozens of confiscated modified silencers and bumpers, rendering them unusable.

This stringent action comes directly under the directives of Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal. The focus is squarely on vehicles sporting illegal modifications, including altered silencers and pressure horns, which often contribute to noise pollution and other public nuisances, violating provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Extensive Campaign Targets Illegal Alterations and Noise Pollution

DCP Traffic Yogesh Goyal elaborated on the ongoing special drive. He stated that traffic police have been instructed to target vehicles with modified or illegal silencers, pressure horns causing noise pollution, unauthorized body alterations, and aftermarket bumpers.

So far, the Jaipur Traffic Police campaign has taken action against a significant number of offenders. This includes 502 modified silencers, 402 pressure horns, and over 2,000 drivers cited for illegal body modifications. The seized items, including silencers and bumpers, were removed from vehicles and subsequently destroyed by the road roller.

Safety Concerns Drive Bumper Crackdown

Goyal highlighted a critical safety concern regarding modified bumpers, particularly on SUVs. Such bumpers can obstruct the proper deployment of airbags during an accident, drastically increasing the risk of injury or fatality for occupants. The police are urging vehicle owners to avoid these dangerous modifications for their own safety.

? Did You Know? According to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, any alteration to a vehicle that changes its original specifications without due approval from the registering authority is illegal and can lead to penalties.

Statewide Drive for Road Safety Until July 16th

This initiative is part of a wider, statewide campaign by Rajasthan Police, set to run until July 16th. The goal is two-fold: to reduce road accidents and foster a safer traffic environment across the state. Alongside strict enforcement, the police are also actively promoting traffic rule awareness.

Beyond modifications, the campaign is also cracking down on other common violations. These include riding without helmets, overspeeding, illegal parking, and lane cutting. Public awareness is being amplified through impactful messages such as 'No journey without a helmet,' 'Helmet mandatory for both driver and pillion,' and 'ISI mark helmet is the means of life protection.' These efforts aim to encourage greater compliance with traffic rules and ultimately, reduce accident rates.

High Court Demands Answers on MSP Implementation

Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has directly questioned the government about its failure to procure crops at the declared Minimum Support Price (MSP), even when provisions for such purchases are clearly in place. This strong stance came during a hearing on a petition filed by Rampal Jat.

An acting bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice SP Sharma and Justice Manish Sharma, issued these directives. The court has also ordered that the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and RAJFED be made parties to the ongoing case.

Central Government's Delayed Response Under Scrutiny

The court highlighted that notices were initially issued to the central government back in 2019 regarding this very issue. However, no response has been received to date. The bench has now granted the Assistant Solicitor General a final opportunity to submit a reply.

Rampal Jat, in his petition, has sought specific instructions from the court to commence the procurement of crops at MSP. He also urged the implementation of the Warehousing Development and Regulation Act, 2007, and the rules framed under it in 2010.

Farmers Facing Losses Since 2012

The petition detailed significant losses faced by farmers in the state, particularly citing the lack of millet procurement since 2012. It also pointed to damages incurred for other essential crops like maize, moong, and gram due to the absence of MSP purchases.

Previously, in 2019, the High Court had requested both the central and state governments to provide suggestions on the best policy and implementation for MSP procurement. Despite this, the central government continues to seek more time to file its response.

The division bench is scheduled to hear the matter again on July 30.

Rajasthan Accelerates Green Transit with New Electric Buses

Rajasthan has taken a significant step towards modernizing its urban public transport and embracing greener solutions. The state recently flagged off 47 new electric buses as part of the ambitious PM e-Bus Sewa scheme, marking a crucial move towards sustainable mobility.

These initial 47 buses are being deployed across three major cities. Jaipur will receive 15 of these electric vehicles, Jodhpur also gets 15, and Kota will see 17 new buses join its public fleet. This rollout represents the first phase of a broader plan to enhance eco-friendly commuting options.

A Step Towards Cleaner Urban Mobility

The PM e-Bus Sewa scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2023, aims to revolutionize public transport across India. Its goal is to deploy 10,000 electric buses in 100 cities nationwide, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of urban travel.

For Rajasthan, the scheme has allocated a total of 500 electric buses. Jaipur is slated to receive 300, while Jodhpur and Kota will each get 100 buses. This phased introduction underscores a commitment to cleaner air and more efficient public services for residents.

Boosting Infrastructure and Environmental Goals

State Transport Minister Brijendra Singh Ola highlighted the environmental benefits during the flag-off ceremony. He emphasized that these zero-emission buses will play a vital role in curbing pollution in the state's urban centers, contributing to a healthier environment for everyone.

Under the cost-sharing model of the PM e-Bus Sewa scheme, the central government provides support for operational costs over a decade. The state government, in turn, is responsible for developing the necessary infrastructure, including depots and charging stations, to ensure the smooth functioning of this new electric fleet.

Bhangarh Fort: Where History Meets Haunting Legends

Deep within the Alwar district of Rajasthan lies Bhangarh Fort, a name that instantly conjures images of ancient curses and unexplained phenomena. Often dubbed India's most haunted place, this 17th-century marvel draws countless visitors, all eager to experience its eerie charm, or perhaps, a brush with the supernatural.

The fort's reputation isn't just local folklore; it's a widely accepted notion, cemented by tales passed down through generations. But what truly lies beneath the surface of these ghostly whispers? Is it a genuine curse, or are there more grounded, scientific explanations?

The Whispers of a Sorcerer's Curse

The most enduring legend surrounding Bhangarh involves a powerful tantric sorcerer named Singhia. He was said to be infatuated with Princess Ratnavati, the beautiful princess of Bhangarh. When his attempts to win her affection through black magic failed, he cursed the fort and its inhabitants to perish and for the town to remain uninhabitable.

The curse allegedly led to a devastating battle, wiping out the entire population, including the princess. Locals firmly believe that the spirits of those who died still wander the ruins, trapped within the fort's ancient stones, unable to find peace.

Fact vs. Folklore: The Scientific Lens

While the supernatural tales captivate, many seek rational explanations. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) manages Bhangarh Fort, and their official signage famously warns visitors against staying within the premises after sunset and before sunrise. This restriction fuels the mystique, suggesting there's something genuinely dangerous or unexplained.

However, some historians and archaeologists propose more pragmatic reasons for the fort's desolation. Theories range from severe water scarcity in the arid region, leading to gradual abandonment, to external invasions that forced the inhabitants to flee. The region's geological history is also considered, with some suggesting natural disasters might have played a role in its decline.

Despite extensive research, no concrete scientific evidence has ever validated the supernatural claims. The fort's structural integrity and historical context are well-documented, yet the paranormal aspect remains purely anecdotal.

Experiences Beyond Explanation

Despite the lack of scientific backing, countless visitors and paranormal enthusiasts claim to have experienced strange occurrences at Bhangarh. Reports include sudden drops in temperature, unsettling feelings, disembodied voices, and even sightings of apparitions.

These personal accounts, though subjective, contribute significantly to the fort's legendary status. They ensure Bhangarh remains a top destination for those fascinated by the unknown, transforming it from a mere historical site into a living enigma that continues to attract thrill-seekers and curious minds alike.

The Unanswered Question

Whether Bhangarh Fort is truly cursed or simply a victim of historical circumstances, its allure is undeniable. It stands as a powerful testament to India's rich tapestry of history, folklore, and unwavering belief in the unseen. The debate between science and the supernatural continues, ensuring the fort's legendary status endures for generations to come.

Stay tuned to MTTV India News for the latest developments from across the country and around the globe.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bhangarh Fort

1. Is Bhangarh Fort really haunted?

While Bhangarh Fort is widely reputed as India's most haunted place, there is no scientific evidence to substantiate these claims. The stories of hauntings are based on local legends and anecdotal experiences of visitors.

2. Why is entry restricted at Bhangarh Fort after sunset?

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) prohibits entry to Bhangarh Fort between sunset and sunrise. While the official reason isn't explicitly stated as paranormal activity, the restriction is widely believed to be due to the fort's reputation for unexplained occurrences after dark and for safety reasons in the unlit ruins.

Rajasthan Opens Doors for Taller Structures with Strict Safety Checks

Jaipur, Rajasthan — Developers across Rajasthan are now finding it easier to gain approval for constructing taller buildings, a significant move set to reshape the state's urban landscape. This green light comes with a crucial caveat: projects must stringently meet all stipulated safety norms.

The decision underscores a pragmatic approach by authorities to balance the growing demand for urban development with an unwavering commitment to public safety. This development is expected to boost real estate projects, particularly in rapidly expanding cities within the state.

Ensuring Compliance: A Prerequisite for Vertical Growth

The approvals are not a blanket allowance but are contingent upon developers demonstrating full compliance with a comprehensive set of safety regulations. These typically include structural integrity, fire safety measures, earthquake resistance, and proper evacuation protocols.

Officials are emphasizing that while the opportunity for vertical expansion is now more accessible, the vetting process for safety compliance remains rigorous. This ensures that new, taller structures contribute positively to urban density without compromising resident well-being.

Trainer Nabbed at ATM Following Jewellery Heist

In a significant development, police have apprehended a gym trainer accused of stealing jewellery valued at approximately ₹50 lakh. The arrest took place at an ATM after a swift investigation into the high-value theft, which sent ripples through the community. Initial reports suggest the trainer allegedly committed the crime to finance a trip for his girlfriend, a motive that has added another layer to the unfolding case.

Authorities had launched an intensive search following the complaint lodged by the victim. The stolen items, primarily precious jewellery, represented a substantial loss. Investigators meticulously pieced together clues, utilizing surveillance footage and digital footprints to track the suspect's movements.
